I grew up in Costa Rica, and at seventeen, I found my first job in a jewelry store. I didn’t know it then, but jewelry would somehow find its way back into my life years later.

Life took me through many different chapters — becoming a mother early in life, moving to the United States, starting over, and eventually returning to Costa Rica for a chapter that would change the course of my life.

But that part of my story had started long before. Miss Denisse had been part of my life since I was a little girl, when my mother worked in her home. Many years later, at a moment when I was trying to find my way forward and continue my education, she believed in me in a way I will never forget. She gave me an opportunity that changed my life — she paid for my university education. Her kindness stayed with me, not only because of what she did for me, but because she showed me how deeply one person can impact another simply by choosing to believe in them.

That experience shaped something I still believe deeply today: sometimes, having someone believe in you can give you the confidence to keep going, to dream bigger, and to become more of who you already are.

Today, I call the United States home, while Costa Rica will always be where my story began. Years later, jewelry has found its way back into my life through KSV — this time with a greater purpose.

KSV is a celebration of femininity in all its dimensions — delicate and strong, modern and authentic. I believe jewelry can be more than something beautiful we wear; it can become part of how we express ourselves, how we carry ourselves, and even how we feel. My hope is to create pieces that make women feel confident, powerful, and completely themselves — every single day.

And perhaps most importantly, I want what we build to extend beyond jewelry. Because I know firsthand what one opportunity, one act of kindness, and one person believing in another can do.
